1. Switched Zade from soy to milk-based formula.
2. Got a lot of house stuff done on my list.
3. Lyndsi moved out. This was not satisfying... it was sad. But good because she was excited to get back to school. We will miss her lots!!
4. Had grandma's party.
There have been so many things that I wanted to get done around here so last week I decided Grandma's party was as good of a deadline as any. Involved lots of late nights and Tyson's help.
Got the kitchen painted. Got this door (a guy gave it to me for free - the before door was nasty - thanks, Tyson for sanding it down for me!) painted and put up:

Made my own chalkboard paint from this tutorial. Although using some bought-from-the-store would have a much smoother appearance than this stuff, I think. Oh, well. Only cost $3 to make my own.
Put up the plates shown in the above picture (and the next) from Goodwill.
Tyson put chicken wire behind this thrift store (painted) frame. Little gift bags hold coupons, etc. Thanks for the chicken wire and clothespin idea, Jordan Faeh! :)
Got the door painted black and made this little guy with yarn, old frame, and rolled up fabric (saw on Pinterest):
Put up a collage of frames (saw on Young House Love blog):
And painted a garage sale chair to put with our new-to-us piano. Neighbors were moving and gave it to us. Score!
Painting the porch is next on the list. Woohoo for a little bit cooler weather.
Sorry for the weird spacing on this post. Looks right on my "edit" screen. Blogspot must not have it all together.

Oh my goodness look at you!! Can't wait to see the house sometime! And the chicken wire looks great :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
